Copying Textbooks- Learning takes effort, lots of it

Learning takes effort, lots of it: in this classroom, students hand copy a photocopy of a textbook, just so they have something they can learn from. That is the sad reality for many of the children of the hard-working women who make Baraka Shea Butter by hand at the Konjeihi Women's Enterprise Centre in Wa, Ghana.

Listen to the teacher discuss some of the realities of school life for these young men and women. And, behind it all marvel because some will come from this classroom and others like it and go on to be become business, government and academic leaders, earning Ph.D.s and overcoming the barriers they faced because of an accident of birth. Every time you purchase Baraka Shea Butter you are giving the mothers a little more income to support their children’s education. Purchase at www.barakasheabutter.com
